If Britain would rejoin the EU, it would make us much stronger during a time where the british strength is desperately needed for opposing Europe's enemies.

Yes, I think that all of us would welcome that. Except maybe Hungary, and they don’t count. All they contribute to the EEC is Putinesque dictator bullshit. And they cost a shitload of money.
Yeah, if the EU would cut off the money, this little dicator would quickly lose footing in Hungary. Legally problematic, but I guess with a little incentive it should be possible.
Under the impression Brexit was a Russian operation designed to weaken the EU, a powerful economic group Putin despises. Thought Britain was already taken over by the Russians, their politicians, wealth, real estate, media. Wouldn’t this be the same as inviting a traitor to infiltrate the EU?
