Not only that, ALL cars need to “talk” to each other and have open knowledge of their surroundings to be “self driving” capable. WI-FI and LIDAR are both needed. Cameras are good for protecting the innocent from reckless drivers. Every time I see a Tesla on the road I stay clear of it.

Despite improvements, there's no way you can trust the combination of technology it requires for an automobile to be self-driving in a city. Even out on an open highway, it's not worth the risk.
