I see why you’ve suggested it. Reads the game well, excellent ball carrier, good range of passing and able to drop back and cover. It’s no different to when people suggested Bouba could play RB.

I don’t think that’s a bad call. He plays a lot of forward balls from that position. He should be good at tackling there too. I think Unai would’ve already looked at it though.

For me, being a good midfielder involves more than just passing ability.

As a centre back, Pau is accustomed to having the game in front of him. In midfield, however, he would need to play with his back to the action and be able to turn quickly.
