Why on earth would you begrudge youngsters the opportunity to find prosperity, growth and, dare I say, even find love, in a union that enables these things? That's before you move onto all the rational reasons.

I don’t think that I will ever fully trust or respect the opinions of anyone who voted to leave. We knew that leaving was likely to be irreversible. It was always clear that it would be reckless and irresponsible.

It is also why I believe that there is a strong argument that in spite of everything that came afterwards, Cameron was our worst Prime Minister. He knew that it would be reckless and irresponsible yet he still held the referendum that made it happen.

The survival of the Conservative Party always trumps everything else, particularly the national interest. That was his only motivation and it did deliver another eight years of Tory rule, which is all that matters to them.
