Don't forget members of the House. Sadly, this little Act has over time turned the House into a mini Senate and the part of the legislature that was supposed to represent the large states no longer does. At least with the Senate it was supposed to do that.

What, you think it's somehow unfair that these 8 million Americans have twelve U.S. Senators representing them, while the 8 million Americans in New York City and the other 11 million people in the state (the equivalent of Minnesota plus Colorado) have two U.S. Senators representing all of them?

Plus the N/S Dakota split was a blatant power grab. Nevada and New Mexico had far more resistance because of political allegiances
