Sorry if my tone sounded negative or argumentative. I’m truly thankful for Bluesky and this amazing community and very appreciative for all the communities that were here early to make it possible.
They deserve that anyway, but what does this mean? Did they write the code? Supply content that attracts lots of users? Serve as some kind of welcome wagon?
I don't know about the coding team, but yes the trans community (and their allies) did supply a lot of content that attracted a lot of users. I believe many of them were the earliest content producers on this site, because of how hostile Twitter was to them.
And here I was thinking it was everyone on Blue sky that has and are building it up to be whatever it becomes. Let's keep it safe, informative, & entertaining for everyone. Let's not jump into the X abyss. I'd hate to leave 🤗💕🌟
I was really surprised how much of my recommended account and interactions were with trans people! Makes sense though. They would be the first ones to get harassed off twitter. I wouldn't want to stick around either. Don't let it happen again!!
Social media without users and a community is useless, it's just empty servers. Like saying the people who actually make art are the canvas and paint supply companies.
