I think (I’m not a PhD just DVM) that the virus they’re finding in the raw foods matches the dairy, chicken and turkey strains which is a major fail for the raw food industry for pet food.

The Pet Food seqs were also uploaded to GenBank but not seachable because they don't have state or collection date yet
There are 21 sets listed here (all with a base sample number 3807) same as GISAID but all sets do not have full seqs for all 8 segs

Note that the LA County Veterinary site has updated its recalled Raw Milk / Raw Pet Food page which has added Wild Coast Boneless Free Range Chicken raw pet food (but like Monarch is NOT labeled as "Recalled Product")

The enviromental seqs from the same pet food company and NVSL sample number (3807 derivative) suggests late Jan / early Feb
The seqs are fairly common and missing state & collection date
I would put the boneless chicken from Wild Coast Raw at the top of my candidate list

Part of why I cook my dogs' food. They get a chicken/pork mix with brown rice, barley, ferro, green beans, and a topping of fresh fruit and a vitamin powder. Now and then some chard or spinach is added.
If they ever get any raw meat it's because I made steak tartare and shared it with them.

It ties together H5N1 in Dairy Herds with EXTREMELY poor surveillance and spillover to poultry and the egg shortage even though neither cows nor chickens fly
