I'm sure they are, but I think that's opportunism, not The Grand Plan. I think he believed it when he said he could just demand tariffs & everyone would pay up & it would all go his way. The advantage cronies have in leveraging it is that unlike our Very Serious Media, they take his words literally.

I keep floating the idea that keeping the attention on North America, fighting with our neighbors, is to distract those political bodies from what's going on elsewhere. Or weaken them economically, idk. I feel like everyone's attention span is under attack, as individuals, countries, govts.

That's definitely the tactic, but I don't even know if it has to be a distraction from anything. The chaos is the point AND the plan. They're stripping everything for parts & consolidating power in so many little ways every day in plain sight, knowing that a system reliant on order can't fight back.

Yeah I mean they're no less dangerous because they're stupid. Might even be more dangerous. Yes, part of why he can get away with being so ignorant is that he truly does not give a shit who or what his ignorance might hurt. So he only pulls back when someone gives in, or when it blows back enough that it might hurt him, the only person he cares about.
