Macron IS a centrist. Yes, his party didn't win parliamentary elections, but he did win the last presidential election. Co-habitation, it has happened before in France.

A last ditch effort to save the West. I wish them the best of luck, but I have no expectations after the last two weeks. We will have to do it ourselves in Europe. I hope on Monday our Ursula von der Leyen will be able to present the huge new EU aid to Ukraine. We are not backing down.

I'm embarrassed to be European. We are weak,pathetic and completely incapable of taking care of ourselves. Our "leaders" have absolutely no imagination, they can't even imagine a future where we can manage without the US.

Instead of bending the knee in Washington, we should be working to quickly acquire the capabilities that we are currently lacking, surveillance, Intel, space, airborne tankers,nuclear,ground based long range artillery. If it takes 15 years, then let's get started.
