in the meantime, I went back up to my apartment in a skyscraper. I look down at street level and can see hordes of police surrounding the building. next thing I know a police sniper fires a warning shot from the rooftop of a nearby building, so I go to the window like "ok fine I'll come down, chill"

I calmly walk towards the door, but before I open it, I start sprinting in the other direction towards another window. the sniper fires another shot but I'm too fast and he misses. I promptly defenestrate myself and start gliding with a wingsuit

I weave between buildings while dodging sniper fire, and almost even hit a tower crane's cable. eventually I make it low enough for a tall fence to give me cover, but before I can land I wake up because my heart is pounding so much and I'm drawing very long and heavy breaths

my whole body was heavy and paralyzed as if I was just ripped out directly from the REM phase, and I had to just lay there for like half an hour to calm down
