My mechanical keyboard's 'e' key malfunctioned this morning. I replaced its switch with the right arrow key, only to realize how frequently I use the right arrow key.

assuming it's hotswap, hotswap sockets can get forced open a bit over time and lose contact with the switch. you can try poking at the conntectors from the back of the PCB and get it to close again. hotswap sockets are a real pain.
