Preview: feels too abbreviated to me. Personalized preview: I like the timeliness of the “Consider whether you’re in the mood for“ summary, which it hits home to me as a mood reader. I do kinda miss the positive/negatives of the previous mode though.

Personalized preview is noticeably slower than the previous version. Seems to time out more often too.

3 days ago I posted here in this thread that I opted back in to this feature so seeing this message now "This feature is currently being enabled for your account. It should be ready within 24 hours. If a few days go by and you're still seeing this message" is , to be kind, underwhelming.

As I turned it off after the VERY lengthy personalised preview urging me to read Vikram Seth's UNWRITTEN "A Suitable Girl", I've turned it back on to see if it's got better.

I have to wait 24 hours before the personalised preview is active, but it's hard to see how it could be worse than that

A quick test of a few current and recently read books and I like that it is pulling from more books that I've read instead of always referencing same 3-4. Also, I like the ending, "consider whether.." much better than the whole you might not like this because you haven't read similar books lately.

I think it’s an improvement. I like the addition of the consideration of moods and themes at the end of the personalized preview, as well as breaking down why I may or may not like a books pacing or troupes based on previous reviews. I’m a fan!

I like that it tells me why it's referencing a certain book (like a non fiction for a fantasy). That way it's easier to see if the recommendation/conclusion makes sense. It does take a bit longer.

On quick read, I like this! It took a few seconds to load, but I felt that it drew from a good range of titles I have recently read. In the title I looked up, it also pointed out something I may not like - which I appreciated.

Same for me, which is frustrating. I read only queer stories — haven’t read a single MF book on SG ever, romance or otherwise — and all my recommendations are either MF romance/erotica, or mainstream fiction with strong MF romance as the b-line stories. Not a single gay or sapphic tale in sight.

It's free for everyone! If you don't see it, you can turn it on by clicking the icon on the top right > Preferences > StoryGraph Preview, then click Update at the bottom to save.

I switched off it recommending me romance because I had the same issue. If you switch it to LGBTQIA or contemporary I think your recs should improve.

“Based on recent reads” is slightly better, but it’s mostly focused on YA/coming of age series, only some of which are queer, and the romances it does present are authors I’ve either never heard of or never read. Weird not to see recs from authors I’ve read - logged book 1 of 7, offer me book 2?

For someone with a 10+ year tracking history it's kinda nice it only references the last year or so. My tastes have changed and recs based all my tracked books would be way of.
