Large corporations paying employees directly is ideal. Taxes are obvs super important for 2-4 comma conversations and directly including employees in profit their labor created is deeply meaningful and Good.
I can't believe all the vitriol for someone always trying to do the right thing! There are so many people who step on the poor, you could be fighting about. Not the person who tries to take care of everyone around her! Elon Musk says there's no such thing as homeless people, argue about him!
It is not. Taylor Swift is her own company. She made billions. She pays her employees, gives bonuses to them, pays her taxes, whatever amount left, then, that's her income. She created a business, then she made herself an income. Her whole team cannot earn or get compensated without her.
We’re aware, but once you factor in that the 2 billion is just revenue thus doesn’t factor in salaries, accommodations, and partner cuts (stadium/ Ticketmaster) it would reduce this drastically.
she donated a lot to food banks in every city she attended plus she already pays her employees a fair wage. she also has to account the costs for touring so she didnt “make” over 2 billion. stop complaining lmfao.
Taylor is the "anti Elon Musk." Hugely successful based on her own talent, she makes STUNNING voluntary payments to those who helped her succeed. I don't get all the hate here. I am not at all a fan of her music, but she seems like a decent, fair, generous person, everything that Musk is not.
these comments from haters are so annoying “that isn’t enough” blah blah, thanks about 10% of her earnings not including donations to food banks in each city & she has been know to actually pay her staff what they deserve so what are you mad about?
It’s actually more than that. The 2 billion was revenue not profit. So that means it doesn’t factor in regular salaries, accommodations, partner cuts (stadiums/ Ticketmaster)
That wasn’t charity that was for all the hard work they put into to her show. And showing her appreciation. Money isn’t everyone’s God. She is a beautiful soul.
I just dont think giving employees bonuses they deserve is equivalent to "doing charitable things".. tho it is also true that she gave a few times to food banks. But Taylor still pays her taxes tho. Doing charity is not even a tax evasion.
Oh it very much can be. And while I assume all rich folks pay the taxes they are supposed to, the taxes they are supposed to pay were decided by other rich folk… to help the rich folk. I’m ultimately not talking about legality, I’m talking about morality.

It’s not going to filter out critique (people can pick a different fave artist, fave album, or discuss capitalism, for instance)
but it does have all the people doing pure hate: bodyshaming, racism, misogyny, trolling to troll.
