Plenty of other so called smart gadgets listen in but people willingly agree by setting up accounts. We used to be able to block spyware now its an accepted business tool and customers agree to it one way or another.

A settlement this low tells me Apple wanted to make this go away and the class action attorneys knew they didn’t have much of a case. Apple saved far more money by avoiding potentially years of litigation, and the class action attorneys at least got paid something.
