Actually being from Northern Ireland means they can be British or Irish or both. That's slightly different to what you've just said - the members of Kneecap are certainly not British.

There are just over 600k people living in Northern Ireland who are ethnically 'British only'. Putting it in overly simplistic terms for a BlueSky thread - they're the descendants of the British colonists of the 17th century. While about 550k are 'Irish only'.

I'm a planter only I've not a drop English dna. It's Irish (many Catholics switched religion like my ancestors), Anglo-Irish who you are ignorant of, and Scottish. As id nearly everybody in Ireland. We are one race with two identities.

Population of NI is 1.9m. Only 42.3 % are Catholic. The rest aren't. You can't do %.

Sorry I've no idea why you're bringing into this. The statistics I referenced are from the 2021 Northern Ireland census. I didn't mention the 'Northern Irish' and other categories for brevity in a social media post but you can see a summary of the data in a table here:
