Did you follow the official gov't page for Biden? It's the official page for the Pres. So just unfollow and block if you want, but FB isn't making people follow the page, it's just the gov't turn around. Disheartening, I know. *Hugs*

Nope. Only other one is Biden's Archive account that still exists as is. Checked my list all day and just an hour ago this finally popped up like it was newly followed.

I noticed this also. Supposedly it's happening if you were following the previous administration. I'm curious if it's even more widespread. I got mad and logged out of Facebook after blocking them.

Facebook pages for public offices (like POTUS/VP) follow the institution, not the individual. When leadership changes, followers of official pages (e.g., Obama → Trump → Biden) stay connected to the office. The same happened in past transitions—you’re following the role, not the person.

I'm still following Biden's that just says archived now. Separate account. This popped up at the top as brand new following. And unfollowing didn't work.

Yeah so from what I understand from how it’s worked previously you’d still be shown as following President Biden Archive as well as President Donald Trump. They copy for the archive and then still leave you on the new president. Weird unfollowing didn’t work.
