It's repugnant that Jan 26 – the anniversary of the 1788 landing & raising of GB's Union Flag – a day of violence & mourning – is still used by 'Australia' to ‘celebrate’ nebulous ideas of national identity & ‘gratitude.’ Gratitude for what exactly? Racial supremacy? Systemic violence? Imperialism?
