RE: BSKY. It's a completely different product than Threads and that's OK. And it's not like we weren't forged in the fires of maintaining multiple media accounts, so going to use both. I don't see why this can't replace Twitter if folks like you make the move. This seems like a better product. Putting aside the politics of the other place, the blue checkmark robot army destroyed the possibility for normal people to engage.

It’s looking potentially like it can, as more and more legit accounts (news agencies, reporters) come over. Certain bots have been created to replicate Twitter accounts that haven’t come over yet in the short term. It’s getting easier and easier.

The Fullcast folks have moved over here, which helped make it easier to move. The chronological timeline and lack of awful ads every three tweets is a huge improvement. Still waiting on most of the sports people I follow though

I think we'll know about Sports by New Years. Saw the big migration, saw some full outlets move over. But will they actually keep up with posting?

I like the chronological timeline here. And sports folks are moving over from The Bad Place. Neither was happening on Threads. I have only been maintaining my Twitter because of sports content. Hope the migration continues.

just waiting for the official team accounts to join - NHL is only Sens, Caps and Kracken as of today. You can follow several newspapers and national journalists. @lukedecock.bsky.social is here (exclusively) but N&O, WRAL havent set up yet, tho @wademinter.com has a bot that reposts their 'tweets'.
