apparently going to the dark version of therapy where i log in and the guy is like "actually you're 100% correct and reasonable to be upset about these things and need to act on those feelings"

i feel like usually therapists recommend ways to reframe your thoughts or moderate your approach or w/e but this guy is literally like "yeah you should expect better from everyone + put less energy and time into people who dont reciprocate" and idk, guess ive never been validated like that lol
It makes me sad to hear you've had experiences that aren't affirming! Every therapist I've had has often approached problems by affirming my feelings and urging me to distance myself from people and situations that cause me distress.
