It has a little reference thing on canvas setting, but yeah it super small and it gets in the way a lot imo so I got my laptop with a billion images open 90% of the time
i've been thinking about getting an ipad for art in the future but this post was like a reality check. i like to put my references in the actual art i'm making and open a new window for it so it's all one software (clip studio paint), so i don't know how that'll translate to an ipad ðŸ˜
I don’t use csp these days but from what I remember the ipad version was basically the same as desktop but that was a while ago so you should probably double check!
I draw at my desk during the parts where I need references since it’s nice to have them all open on the big monitor. It kinda defeats the purpose of an ipad I guess but I like being able to work there and still take it out with me for drawing on the go lol
i open them either on pc or on my phone, RARELY in a floating window bc it kinda annoying how often due to the small window size it refuses to zoom in properly
not ipad tho, samsung, but the same principle
Pain and suffering - you can set stuff as a reference layer but unfortunately you can’t move it out of the canvas space itself which would be SO handy for me. Most of the time it’s my laptop screen for refs if I’m home.
