Thank you, Alan. I'm glad it didn't sound sentimental. There is a purity about the way dogs feel about us. We're the ones who add the sickly anthropomorphic sugar. Apologies for jumping the gun again. I'm having clusters of migraines again and yesterday I was convinced it was Friday, all day.

Something beautiful about the love of a pet dog. I’m more of a cat person, but my daughter’s dog is an absolute joy and bundle of crazy affection and love..if only the world was like that..

They're different beings altogether. We have both and they get on fine though the cats rule. They accept their world order, that dogs are bigger, stronger and can run faster (in the case of ours) but cats are quick, lithe and they have those nifty little claws...
