I'm not being negative or saying it's a bad thing etc, I just can't wrap my brain around it. Cause I already get a lil frustrated as NPC bubbles going away so fast so I can't read them that quick sometimes, I imagine this in an rp space is gonna be weird.

Luckily they are optional and sure i'd need to try them out before I make my conclusion i'm just kinda confused on why they are wanted to so bad I guess. It just seems like a lot on the screen for more.

i only have them on (with the current plugin) for party chat, like for when i’m doing content and it’s able to keep my focus near the center of the screen. but having it for rp would not be the play lol

I think they're fun when it's _just_ dialogue? Hence funny screenshot of someone with a tank buster saying "by the twelve" or w/e but I agree that it's just not for me.

For me it's helpful in a busy space because it helps me prioritise messages based on how close their toon is to mine, if I want to narrow down who i'm "listening to" I can zoom in and angle my camera! 😊 It's old habits of mine from WoW where chat bubbles are & have been native

In WoW you could toggle how long they persisted for (long persistance = more time to read but more cluttered screen), and they also persisted longer if they had more text

I don't think xiv will have the same 😭 since apparently they might not even contain the full message?? oop...
