My kid learned about violence, patricide, homicide, genocide, rape, incest, prostitution, polygamy, and misogyny (just off the top of my head) from the Bible. And all before middle school.
Book banning, censorship and trashing the media is all part of fascism. Look at Germany in the 30's and Russia in the 40's. This is exactly what is happening in Ameria right now. Not just in prisons
I buy books for a Canadian literacy program. Many inmates have requested 48 laws of power, I personally believe if anyone be needs to understand power, it’s the powerless.
Not banned, but I did discontinue buying prison ramen as there was a prison hooch recipe in it! Otherwise quite a fun book.
The Bible should be banned everywhere or made to reside in the Fiction section of the "Adults Only" area. Let's not continue to propagate faerie tales like the invisible sky daddy.
