Rough thoughts:
— By his standards, not his season. Has fallen short of expectations, rather than surpassed them as he tends to.
— Still been one of our better players, which isn’t a high bar but important to note given the specific scrutinisation of him. Fans are more sympathetic to our other stars

@alexcollings.bsky.social I’ve never seen Ø take heat like this, what’s your thoughts on it all

— Has been given too much responsibility but only gets judged on what he does in the final third. Needs more support.
— We looked crap in that spell without him. I think this gets forgotten.
— His quality of final pass has always been overrated,…
— On that note, this spell has shown how much he misses not only Saka but also BW
— People want him to be a player he’s not. He’s not KDB, sorry. He’s not Bruno Fernandes either and I’m grateful for that. We wouldn’t have performed to the level we have over the last two seasons with a Bruno Fernandes.
— If we’re appealing to authority, I’ll go with the top level coaches who single him out every other game over the b&w avi cryptofascist accounts there on twitter.
Ødegaard’s not at the level he’ll expect of himself but I’m tired of every game being a referendum on this guy who’s been a driving force of our rise just cos some ‘fans’ wanna be right about shitty takes from years ago.
If we roll with a midfield of Zubi/Rice, his role won't change.
