I also want to say just because I'm very slow with art and stuff doesn't mean I'm not passionate about what I do... Was in a similar situation so I relate. Some people have poor expectations and it's extremely discouraging. I have to keep telling myself I'm only human and I have other priorities like family and work. But that doesn't mean it's not important to me. I wouldnt feel like myself without it 🥲

I work a full time job, I stream as my secondary form of income, I live by myself and pay all my own bills. I have a lot to handle on top of working on art and until I get to a healthy, happy medium, postings are just going to be scattered about.

I was not expecting this to get the attention that it is, so I just want to say thank you and it feels better to know I'm not alone. We shouldn't weigh our value as an artist based on how fast or slow we work. I love the work that I do even if others don't like how slow it takes to get there. 💖

Do you make art of any kind? Congratulations you're an artist! Speed doesn't and never will matter and I'll fight anyone who claims you have to pump out a piece a day to be one.

Thank you. 😭💖 I've found people lose interest in my work because I don't draw fast enough and don't put out enough work to be worth following... it really starts to weigh on me. Stuff like that shouldn't matter, but when I want to start selling my art, I need to have an audience of some kind.

Well if it helps at all I followed for the creative works you do and honestly truly appreciate that you're on the "slower" side- I manage to do maybe two or three pieces a year so it's nice to know I'm not the only one who likes to take their time and enjoy the process rather than stress over it!

Felt and you are not alone! I have been feeling this way too especially through the winter season. If you do one piece of art per day/per week/per month/per year it doesn't matter! We are still artists!!

I feel the same way, and I'm unemployed. My hands just can't draw as much as I used to. But it doesn't make me any less of an artist.
