Half-Breed:
The term “half-breed” was historically used to describe Métis and mixed Indigenous people in both the United States and Canada.
The word had long been used to refer to Inuit and Yupik peoples, but it is now widely considered an offensive term. The word was imposed by outsiders, and was not one they used for themselves. Regardless of its etymology, Indigenous groups
