Incidentally, the stone causeway no longer exists, it has been replaced by a more environment-friendly wooden causeway which no longer blocks water flows. So, an amphibious vehicle may be more useful than ever now :)

What British one? I'm not aware of it, I was referring to Mont Saint Michel in Normandy, which I visited a few years back. I'm not sure the wooden "bridge" can be used by vehicles, but maybe it can, for emergencies.

The british one is less grand than the french one, but has that charm of castles from the british isles - rugged and mysterious.
