that's where the virtue of patience comes in... meaning-do one for awhile, say a few weeks, take a break, then engage in another one, do likewise, until you form a 'hobby-cycle'. This allows you to enjoy all the things but without the risk of burning out of any of those things you wish to enjoy.
The only thing I’m good at is cooking and making candles. Everything else is stick figures and uneven crochet squares. With hopes of making realistic drawings and crocheted animals. My ADHD says diff.
You have to plan things as a feeder system. Sewing is practical, too many clothes are terrible quality & fit. Now you need a lace trim - time to learn crochet! Storebought’s itchy. Meanwhile a couple slow cooker books are excellent for cooking while you work on crafts….
I totally get it. I draw (pencil and digital), I paint, I sculpt, and I like playing computer games. I also do plumbing but that one helps me pay for all the rest of the stuff I do
get your calendar out - pick 3 months for each thing and in those months focus on the one for the month - at the end of a year you will resort to a more concrete idea which needs more time and which needs less...
I get so paralyzed trying to do too many things at ones sometimes... I'll end up just sitting there watching something while my brain itches to craft 😭🤣
Forget gaming. Start with cooking so you can eat well. Learn to sew so you can dress yourself. Then, after you’ve mastered the saxophone, maybe try crocheting
I’m gonna hold your hand when I say this. I’m not saying you have ADHD but… you wanna come hangout and go through all my cool craft supplies I’ve collected because I definitely have ADHD and your struggle is sounding
REAL familiar?
I live this struggle too. Usually getting together with similar folks and having a goal helps out a ton (like setting up a date to get together to knit/paint).
