browsing thru getter gijinka comics on pixiv has made me think itd be fun to have a mecha story where the pilot is like the parent to the mecha. like, the mecha is a clueless kid learning abt the world and growing up / the pilot has to keep them safe & figure out boundaries of when to let them go
