Real talk but it's worried to me that the first four games are all within a few years of each other. Mentally I feel like Oblivion should be a century after Morrowind at the very least.
i yapped abt this ages ago but rehashing part of that: love that the HoK technically isnt *the* chosen one ("youre the one from my dreams" is close-ish but eh) bc it feels like not being directly in the spotlight gives much more freedom to do whatever with less scrutiny/expectations. oblivion good
Bethesda was in their sidekick period at the time, which also included Fallout 3, where the player is basically their dad's sidekick for most of the game
