I’m writing a video script on that idiotic woke game list on Steam, and I use Skyrim to illustrate the point that even in a game world filled with political and social commentary, they miss/ignore the point of it being there
Man the catharsis of a universe where same sex relationships are so normal they become entirely unremarkable is so refreshing. The idea of just getting to exist without having to justify who you love is so beautiful. Through great effort, we will one day get there.
I am running a Pathfinder 2e campaign set in Morrowind, to help cope with the current state of things in the USA ಥ‿ಥ
It's been quite cathartic, I dare say.
It has been! The party is very invested in the story, and are starting an abolition movement, of sorts. Also been dealing with corrupt officials, all while investigating the Nerevarine Cult and Sixth House.
Yo that's awesome! I've actually been working on an Elder Scrolls Pf2e campaign myself. So when is yours set? 3rd era 4th era, or something a little more out there?
Yoo that's cool!
My campaign is quite literally the main campaign of TESIII: Morrowind. I adapted it for a party of 4 players, GM included, and let the players resolve the quests how they want to, not just how the game allows.
That's honestly a fantastic idea, the game is so open ended that the story leads itself well to such an adaptation, while also providing that quintessential player driven storytelling and creativity that comes with a tabletop format. Genuinely so cool ^^
Thank you~ It has been a delight. And so many of Morrowind's systems can be adapted to Pathfinder 2e. Need rumors for quests? There is a Gather Information activity. Want to raise a creature's disposition? There is the Make an Impression activity. It has been a blast to run~
Yeah Pf2e has pretty much all the tools you need. I am curious tho, how did you handle the differences between the Pf2e Heritages and the Elder Scrolls races? because things like Tengu and Kitsune don't really exist in the setting, and Pf2e doesn't really have 4 different types of elves.
So it's set in year 98 of the 4th era about a hundred years after Oblivion and a hundred years before Skyrim. It takes place in Elsweyr during the void nights (when both of the moons seemingly dissappeared from the sky for 2 years). That kinda mystery just screams to be explored :3
Oooo that is a fantastic idea!! Elsweyr sounds like a fantastic setting for a campaign. The main focus being the Void Nights is also a genius move, it's a call to action if I've ever seen one!
I am not gonna lie, it can be very confusing. There's a lot to keep track of, and many ways to do many things. That being said, the freedom it offers is incredible. I implemented my own homebrew system to handle Factions for it, and it fits pretty seamlessly!

Best part is the ORC, so there are free and one-time purchase apps that have all the information and do the math automatically, such as Pathbuilder, and they are endorsed by Paizo.

Not unrelated: one of my red flag test questions for guys is stormcloak or imperial. It’ll tell you all you need to know about someone.
OR “neither give it to the other indigenous people of Skyrim, the forsworn” who while indigenous yes also have some fucked up stuff going on.
