Had a power surge last night, pretty sure the motherboard on my main rig is faulty now. I was gonna do a birthday stream before taking a break but I guess I get to start early 🙃

New computer has been purchased, even if I would've rather waited a year or two. T*riffs had an immediate impact on a couple parts, but hopefully within the next couple weeks I'll have everything set up.
It'll be much faster and more powerful, too! Silver lining to any bad situation, I suppose
We recently got a Bluetti AC180 for our computers for this EXACT reason. We use it as a passthrough for the most part, but once that power goes out, the battery kicks in and keeps everything up and running. I have 0 faith in my motherboard these days 😭
Yeah I'm 100% investing in a UPS after this. I was fortunately able to back to the drive into another computer for now, I about had a heart attack thinking about losing my stream assets. I hadn't backed mine up in a couple of years at least
