Part 2: The real story that gave rise to this story is very different, but I want to think of it as some kind of forgiveness and understanding that sometimes our parents do what they can, wrong or not, they do it perhaps out of fear of our future.

This is a real story for some. My parents are accepting of me being a DL. Though, they were more relieved that I wasn't doing drugs. They thought the baby powder I was hiding was coke. 😆

That kind of support is touching. I'm grateful that my mom still gave me toys and plushies as gifts up through my mid 20s because she knew I didn't quite grow out of them.
