I don’t see how the democratic party survives without a fresh slate of candidates who understand the stakes. we are in a repeated prisoners dilemma where one party keeps cooperating while the other keeps gleefully defecting but the party playing C hopes tomorrow will bring rainbows.

I think there’s a danger here elite Dems are not taking seriously. If Trump’s targets are looking for a way to oppose him and don’t see it in the Dem party, they will find it elsewhere or build it themselves
