Many are fully convinced that the attackers are simply bad. Yet somehow we’re second in a season in which Saka and Ødegaard will miss 20 games between them

Not just that but top 3 in CL. If you told anyone before the season started that we’d be 6 points off City and sitting top three in Europe after the group phase they would have taken it. No one expected us to win the league but wanted a sustained challenge. We’ve done that. It’s because it’s LFC.
The reaction is driven by Slot maybe winning the league in his first season. So much of that is down to him not having a single serious injury to contend with. Heavily rotates once and loses to Plymouth.
Right lol - playing literally out of his skin all season. It’s been the perfect storm for them and fair play. If they had the injury luck we have, losing Salah, Trent, and Mac Allister among others for the same timeframe, they’d not be in the position they were. It’s just circumstance.
people are literally asking Arsenal to compete for the PL and the CL in a season when some fans think Saka won't return...as the youth would say, deep that lol
I don’t have the headspace for it at all. Simply do not. At this rate I’d rather crash out of CL I’m the round of 16, go back to one match a week, and make a serious league push. But if we did that then it’s “we’re bottlers and we have no ambition” blah blah.
we’ve had to watch teams like city & liverpool ride incredible luck & have much joy, but we don’t get a turn so whatever twist happens in the season the fans will be divided & upset.
if the tables were turned you’d see the same in mcfc & lfc fanbases while we’d be very meh over losing to plymouth
I think you're being overly critical of average supporters. It's their prerogative to be emotional w/ often ill-advised anger at player selection or managerial strategy. Each individual fan has his own definition of the proper place in his life to put his fandom and how it's expressed.

don’t get me wrong, i agree with you guys. It’s nuts but the waffling makes sense kind of.
