FYI if you see anybody using SofaScore to slander Martinelli: his rating is low because they’ve stuck him with two BCM. One is the offside shot he missed, the other is a 0.06 xG shot he honestly took well. BCM remains a garbage statistic

the stats flatter Ø and Trossard b/c the model doesn't know what to do with Ø's lil dink chip to Trossard. Subjectively seems like a ridiculously hard shot to come off, xG has it at like 1/3 g I think.

Feels like this needs to be said, but I think Trossard is our second biggest “brain fade” player in the squad atm, but it doesn’t cost us as much as it would if Partey was making similar brain fades due to his positioning.

Yeah I could see that. He definitely makes the costliest mistakes among the attacking group, very high bar there though. We’ve definitely had some dumb moments from multiple defenders this season as well

Start of the second half, definitely felt like Trossard was trying too hard to make up for the FK when attacking, but just led to more poor decision-making that I’m not sure he makes if he hadn’t of given away the FK.
