My setup from around the same era is nothing compared to your rack.
(My desk is also made of plywood and cinderblocks fyi, I did eventually upgrade to using 2x4s and plywood when I got tired of hitting my foot on cinderblocks)

As elegant a space heater as I've ever seen.
I'm just jealous of the rig, but not jealous of the ambient temperature those things generate.
I had a similar (but not as pretty) setup and it made the room unbearably warm in summer.
