Starting on it now myself. It's slow and goofy and absolutely simmering in that melodramatic 90's soap opera feel, but for the moment, I'm finding that pretty comforting, and remembering it definitely starts to pick up and get interesting as it goes on*

its definitely a slow burn in the beginning. Lynch really likes to take his time setting the narrative table. I can understand why people bounce off of the show.

Yeah, it wasn't that it was so weird and wacky I couldn't handle things. It's that it felt like the first 10 minutes of an X-files episode stretched for 90 minutes.

it's a show that has so much love for People and their Quirks. it's definitely a slow-burn but once you get into it you get so swept into the otherworldly atmosphere that you cant stop watching. and season 3 is so good too! one of my favourite shows ever, up there with DS9!
