I just think the key is to not be smug. All the tech billionaires lining up behind Trump has given us the perfect opportunity. “These people lied to you in order to line their pockets.”
Nope! That’s giving those people an out, a path to avoid responsibility/accountability for their vote. I’ve got a functioning brain with critical thinking skills - I wasn’t tricked, nor were many millions of others. No one will be hearing that from me. And nor should they from you.
A better message then is, "They tricked you. They told you what you wanted to hear. You need to look at not only what they say on a big stage or commercials, but what they're saying in interviews with supporters. Do your due diligence."
Voting is a responsibility and it should be treated as such.
There seem to be a lot of people who will ignore 99% of what these scam artists are saying and focus on the 1% that's good, even when you confront them with the aforementioned 99%. They'll just ignore it, or find some bullshit excuse. Drives me insane.
You forget that half of people have below-average intelligence. They survive by following. If they don’t follow you, they’ll follow people who love drumpf. Fight fire with fire, bend the truth to save a life.
Nope - just like with getting sober - you have to admit you have a problem and take responsibility for your actions (and votes) and then you can work toward helpful strategies and clear thinking.
With your reasoning, they are pliable - they could change who and what they follow like the wind blows.
