Am sure the best Christmas present for that poor cat would be getting rid of itchy ruffled collar before he goes into biting scratching frenzy. Eyes tell the story.
Good question. They were big on maudlin stuff, sentimentality, children dressed as miniature adults, not to mention creepy memento mori. It wouldn't surprise me if they put their cats into costumes.
