That's why we have sky object catalogs. There are lots of galaxies (in Andromeda) but the specific one should be named. I believe this is NGC 891, but I could be wrong. The Andromeda galaxy is also in constellation Andromeda (M31 or NGC 224 depending on the catalog).

Can anyone elaborate in the techniques and challenges doing a 34 hour exposure? Obviously daylight is issue to cover lens but is auto tracking going entire time on Andromeda?
