If you’re ever there for Anzac Day look out for the dinner in Sai Yok the night before. I believe ii is/was owned by Khun Poon??, the Thai fella who used to get supplies for the diggers. The Hellfire Pass museum will be able to tell you where it is.

There are some lovely hotels in Kanchanabury and it's good to stay there to walk along the Bridge and also taste their seafood. Both restaurants near the Bridge used to be very good.

It's only a couple of km from Hellfire pass. It's where his ashes are scattered, and he was good mates with the owner. It has a great sense of place.
Vans collapse badly in a stack & we saw one last week near Canberra with a few dead.
Safest place is in the middle seat in the rear of a good quality car & that's proven
Bangkok known for such long traffic delays that cars have a toilet in them. So pack a little toilet paper
