This is partly it. Other major factors are that the core of fascism is gentry, so they're used to having impulsive actions indulged and having no idea how anyhing actually works.

I was thinking last night about the fascist right's apparent tendency to act impulsively and fail to plan or follow through, and I wondered if maybe it's due to their model of reality is increasingly based on total fantasy and provides no predictive or explanatory power
