How many of those devastated homes used companies like Amazon, Uber etc? I’m guessing 99%. Surely it would be in their interest to help rebuild the neighbourhoods.
Yeah, we got the same thing in Asheville. It would have taken about a month to get them activated - so no immediate help - and one had to commit to paying for a year's service. But it was good publicity. Maybe Elon's doing this one right. Maybe. But not in Asheville.
Someone who did it right was Publix. Who, once a store opened created a WiFi hotspot - which the store usually doesn't have - so people could have the internet if necessary.
"Offering" for publicity and actually following through are two different things. I don't know of any free starlink in my area during Helene. I know several neighbors that offered their PAID personal terminals to the neighborhood but that was the end of it. #FuckElon
Who worships celebs? USA worships them so much they put them in charge of nuclear codes even if they are convicted felons.
Taylor deserves to be worshipped as she actually cares, shares, donates. I'm no swiftie but she is a good human.

Pirate: takes from the rich, gives nothing back.
Billionaire: takes from the poor, gives nothing back. Then, bribes politicians to get tax cuts and public funding for his projects.
As much as I dislike Musk, Starlink is being deployed in the burnt areas free of charge. Uber is providing free rides to people in the affected areas.
