My dad gets his healthcare from the VA & insists it's all bluster. My mom, on medicare and social security, thinks the problem is liberals. They get their news from Sinclair, Fox, and CNN.

We're all going to be miserable when they have to move into my 1BR place in Commie-Fornia.

I think there's a point at which a person recognizes the extent of the peril and at that moment moves forward with the facts or back into the previous not-knowing. I can't call it cowardice when some people protect themselves from a knowledge they can't endure.

It is impossible to overstate how uninformed most Americans are, but I think it's been that way for a long time. If we survive this as a democracy, I hope it wakes at least some people up.
