Interesting. In a local FB group in Brisbane, Australia, people are asking for advice on how to de-badge their Teslas, only to be given advice by others on how they did it. Hairdryer and fishing line apparently. No one wants a swasticar anymore.

Debadging doesn't really work because everyone who knows cars still recognizes the design instantly. Kinda makes you look like you're trying to humblebrag or worse.
I only debadged once, and it was because the badge was VERY badly placed and rubbed my thigh while I was riding the motorcycle.
True, but lots of people don't know cars just by shape. This was definitely people saying "I'm embarrassed to be associated with this brand". There were also suggestions to leave it out during a hailstorm in the hope it might get written off by insurers.
