Usually I take a notebook to conferences and use it to write notes instead of using my phone so the speaker doesn’t think I am bored and playing on my phone instead lol 📝

There's far too likely a chance I'll get distracted on any given device :) so I prefer to take a notebook too. That and taking notes with a good pen is a happy place.
My favorite gadget of 2024 was Kindle Scribe, great for conferences and other note taking, but also document reviews (integrated with Office) or reading articles (offline)
