i had a habit of switching my nicknames like every other week, and it just so happened that while i was making danger/u/ i switched to "prefetcher"

when i made /u/ i needed a nick to identify myself w/ and prefetcher got in. it just sorta stuck around ever since

i also often go by "nano", since that's a nick i used in a couple of discords for a veeeeery long time

and my steam nick, "tensor algebra" was a joke that i was too lazy to change ever since and it just sorta is there

combining my love of graphic design (pixel) and japanese culture (desu)

also maybe seeing some Rozen Maiden desu compilation might have influenced me

also, as I sometimes just call myself pixel it could be a very shortened form of "I am pixel" in japanese too.
