When I finally get down there, I'll have to make sure I don't pass up the historical tidbits. I sometimes forget history stops when I'm too enthralled with nature.
What exactly do you mean by "capture?" Far as I can tell that looks like no photograph of the Superstitions I've ever seen. If that's AI, then label it as AI.
Having hiked almost the entire wilderness, we call the Supers, I have never seen this view, or the peaks in this picture. Iβm not saying they donβt exist, this picture makes me want to go back and look more.
Yeah, you'll never see this view in the Supers, haha! My two favorite hikes I've done there are Reavis Falls and Circlestone. Ever done those? Amazing scenery out there!
So , my second attempt at
Social media and Iβve already encountered fakes via AI. IM DISAPPOINTED. I should have known. This whole business is shit. Oh well, I tried. Iβm going back to nature. Have fun wasting your time. Iβm not giving this any more oxygen.
Need a get my old Supers map out. Reavis Falls I know, but Circlestone is that also eastern end? Is that where the picture was taken? Looks like a western view, I may be wrong. I got into Reavis from the Roosevelt Lake entrance before the Indian ruins.
Yeah, Circlestone is in the eastern Superstitions. The coordinates are approx. 33.47753, -111.13432. There's a trail that heads east from Reavis Ranch, then turns south, then you go off trail & up a ridgeline toward Mound Mtn. Circlestone is on a hilltop just northeast of Mound Mtn.
It was a long way to Reavis Falls going the way I went, but I didn't know another way at the time. I got lucky, though. It was February and it had rained recently, so the falls were really active when I went.
I probably should have gotten to Reavis Falls the way you went. I started on the Reavis Ranch trail, & when I got to the headwaters of Lewis & Pranty Creek, I took a faint trail east over the ridge & down the far side of the mtn., crossed a couple of creeks and then upstream to the waterfall...
Are we really going to fill BlueSky with falsely labeled AI generated images? I thought I was getting away from that here. Another poster to block, I guess. I was hoping to not have to play that game here, but it looks like everywhere has been ruined.
Being that I live near the Superstition Mountains and have hiked them this is not them. They are nice to visit though and worth visiting if you're in Mesa.
Yep, I used to live in Mesa, just a few miles from where your picture was taken. I used to hike there a lot and it's beautiful. When I saw OP's picture I said uhhh, no.
I feel your frustration. These AI photos can be deceiving. Just hope people donβt actually think this is what the Superstition Mts look like. Posting AI is one thing, but claiming it is somewhere itβs not is where I draw a line βοΈ
Seriously AI art looks good but please do not spread misinformation about geography (former geography teacher here). Weβre dumb enough as it is; itβs an insult to millions of people who live here or have hiked (or driven past) these places.
This is an AI generated image and should be credited as such. Stunning as it looks, there is beauty enough in the world and talented enough photographers to capture it. We shouldn't let the undoubtedly impressive work of AI detract from the true magic of our nature & the skilled artists that fuel it
What dimension is this, because it's certainly not the same one that the rest of us are living in. Fake, fraud, fantasy, BS, that's an AI rendering, not a real photo. Don't be stupid, people. There's already too many gullible folks in this country, don't add to that population.

This is not a real place.
Thanks for the pointer!
Or so the legend goes.
