That is really appalling. Has the UK Labour Party considered that if it ever wants to ever get back into the EU - all of the anti trans stuff they have been pushing is going to have to be undone? Because there is zero chance the UK will be exempt from EU human rights obligations.

It's ok because they have no intention of rejoining the EU. If they did they would have done it already. If their supposed goal is economic growth at all costs then there is no simpler and faster way to do that, but obviously it isn't "all costs" - only those that harm the poor and disabled.

Don't disagree with your analysis of "all costs" but rejoining is not that simple - they wouldn't have been able to join this quickly. Rejoining is a multi-year process.
